Randy (1–4) vs. Nick (3–2)

Since Nick’s team name is a Jim Lahey reference, and he’s playing someone named Randy here… I have no choice but to just make that my line of attack. Unfortunately I’m not sure anyone other than Nick and I really watched that show.

Randy Jenner-ox (as Paul calls him) has loaded a hair triggered double barreled shit machine gun and it’s pointed at his own head after this egregious 1–4 start. There are two levels of egregious, one level where you try but your team just sucks, and another level where you just mailed it in after week two — and Randy is that second one.

We have two pretty bad looking teams here by the numbers:

Both teams have expected records of 1–4, so Nick is really lucky to be at 3–2 here, and he really wasn’t that far off being 4–1.

Nick has averaged just 123 points, good for 9th in the league — but that number looks monstrous compared to Randy’s 116 per week (11th). After having one of the best teams in league history last year by scoring relative to the average, Randy may be looking to do the opposite here.

Randy’s Side

Randy was mowin’ the air last week, starting Benny Snell and Cam Akers on his way to a score of 82 points, the second lowest of the season.

Rand basically has two good players right now after losing Chubb to the injury and Melvin Gordon to the misdemeanor. Although is drunk driving even illegal in the sinhole that is Denver Colorado?

Randy is not to be bothered with free agents though, as he will start Benny “Three Carries” again on his way to another sure loss.

Very disappointed in the effort from Randy this year.

Nick’s Side

Nick probably just needs 100 points to win this match-up, so let’s see if we can find them.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are back and take on Tampa Bay, okay cool we found 100.

Enjoy your win Nick, cheers!

Here’s Nicks week by week scoring breakdown

You see that he only has one running back in his top seven scorers, and that running back is *gasp* on bye this week.

The running backs in this match-up are one of the funnier things I’ve ever seen in what like 10 years of doing this?

It’s Adrian Peterson and Mike Boone against Cam Akers and Benny Snell. Peterson has the highest projection of the bunch. The last time Adrian Peterson had the highest RB projection in a fantasy match-up, Nick was still living in parents house… wait a minute.

I mean honestly I’d be surprised if this match-up totaled 200 points, this match-up can be summarized in one GIF

I hate to even pick a winner here, but Randy has so little going for his team that I have to pick against him.

Nick wins 99–90.
