Colin (2–4) vs. (Lee 1–5)

Colin is fresh off a win that almost sunk him to the likes of Lee’s record. I wouldn’t be surprised if Colin sicked his new dog on the Arizona offensive coordinators to ensure Christian Kirk wouldn’t get a single target after his 2-catch, 2-touchdown performance in the primetime game against Dallas. A couple more catches or 33 yards and Kirk would have spoiled Colin’s season fully, but instead he salvaged the win vs Tony. The big reason for the win was the balls on Colin, trading Kelce to get Julio. He took the risk to get a guy who has been riddled with injuries all year and it paid off in a 33-point performance for Colin. Ronald Jones had himself a game and Gaskin ran all over the Jets and it was a solid week for Colin’s Implosion team.

Lee had the misfortune of playing myself last week and even though he has given up on his team for the most part this year, he is still active, entertaining trades and placing waiver claims. These are the guys you love in fantasy leagues. They are active, you can beat them, but they could still play spoiler to help you out later in the year. Much respect Lee. It appears it will be another year though, until we see Lee compete for a fantasy title. TY Hilton should take the Andrew Luck route and just retire. Save Lee the decision of starting this dude each week. Cooper and Lamar had good games, but outside of Thomas/dolphins defense, they were the only ones to outscore their projections. To be fair, Lee was a lot closer to winning this one than I would like to admit, but his downfall season continued.

Colin:

Colin has some great RB matchups with David Johnson against Green Bay and Ronald Jones against the Raiders. Jones just torched the Packers, so now DJ gets his turn. Colin’s big WR’s all have the “Q” designation. Julio will always have it, Allen had back spasms that caused him to leave early last week but he should lace them up this week, and you honestly don’t know these days with Michael Thomas. He could have eaten Sean Payton’s gumbo that was in the team fridge and he could sit out this week. My favorite play for Colin this week is Jerick McKinnon as Mostert will be out again and although it’s a tough matchup with NE, I think McKinnon has a good game. If he can get 12–15 carries and Jeff Wilson doesn’t take them all away as well as a few catches a double digit performance is well within reach. Brady will have a decent week again too.

My Projections:

Brady: 26
Johnson: 18
Jones-17
Thomas-14
Jones-24
Cook-7
Allen-14
McKinnon-15
49ers Def-6

Projected Total: 141

Lee:

Lee won the Matt Ryan sweepstakes on the waiver wire which made me a bit sad, but life goes on. Hahn dropped Ryan after his 8-point performance which he followed up with a 42-point in our Free-Agency pool. Now he gets the Lions secondary in a highly offensive game. Ryan and Stafford will be top 10 QB’s this week. I am still a fan of James Robinson and will continue to try and trade for him which will be unsuccessful but oh well. Cooper is going up against the toughest secondary in the league and has Andy Dalton throwing to him. I like Coopers chances of catching footballs as good as I do when I throw Jon a ball and he hears someone withing 50 yards of him going for a tackle. Jackson and Singletary both have good rushing matchups but I just don’t know what they are going to do. Pretty much all of Lee’s team is like me fly fishing. Sure I’ll prob get the line out there, but I don’t know what the hell is going to happen after that and ill prob be disappointed at the end of the day. He does have the Eagles defense tonight which I love. This matchup features two QB’s that have more interceptions than they do touchdowns. They also fumble the shit out of the ball so I like a few turnovers for both defenses tonight.

My projections:

Ryan-35
Robinson-15
Freeman-8
Cooper-8
MVS-8
Fant-11
Singeltary-10
Jackson-12
Eagles-14

Final Projection: 121

Lee puts up another respectable score, but it looks like Colin is going to edge out the win here. Colin ships Lee 141 Amazon boxes and Lee accepts his 1–6 record on Monday with an Ispirare Coffee in the morning.
